I remember when I was doing rent and I was too thin, and I was doing that on purpose because I’m dying, I’m a HIV+ drug addict. I remember having to eat raw food and doing all this work to make sure I could stay thin… And I remember everyone asking me when I was doing press for the movie, “what did you do to get so thin? You looked great!” and I’m like, “I looked emaciated.”
It’s a form of violence in the way that we look at women and how we expect them to look and be, for… what’s sake? Not health, not survival, not enjoyment of life, but just so that you can look ‘pretty’.

What is the word I’m looking for here?
Eh I’m thinking of starting a new tumblr/blog/thing that no one actually reads. I have gotten so lazy this summer, I haven’t been following current events or my usual news sources (Rachel Maddow, MSNBC, New York Times, HuffPost…or..BBC…or..shit is that all my sources? I need to expand a bit.)
So this would be more like a personal project, but I do hope to gain some followers as…oh my god whats the word I’m looking for?! I have literally been sitting here for 5 minutes and I can’t think. MOTIVATION. Ok, some followers as motivation. Jeeze.
Anywho, it will be a blog where I look at whats going on right now, focused on American politics but maybe a bit of foreign relations as well. And I would explain it concisely and get my opinion out there. After all, I am a polisci major now, so this is me getting a head start and knowing about the current going-ons and understanding them completely. So basically an independent research project which has no due date or counts for anything. Woo.
Warning: this blog will be me, a LIBERAL, talking about LIBERAL things and fraternizing with those nasty LIBERAL media elites to get all dem facts. Mmmhm. And I will be starting with this debt ceiling debate. Tomorrow. It’s gonna happen.
